① Samoyed Cafe AL Komazawa Park Branch (⭐ 5.0)

Positive Reviews

I visited with my daughter, and we had an amazing time! 🥰 All the Samoyeds were incredibly cute and so fluffy. 💕

You can even feed them treats! 🐾 It was such a relaxing and healing experience. I’d love to come back! ❣

It was my first time visiting a Samoyed café, and it was even better than I imagined!

The Samoyeds were so friendly and came up to us on their own, which made the experience incredibly heartwarming. Their fur was unbelievably soft—I could have stayed there petting them forever.

The café was clean, and the staff carefully looked after the dogs, so I felt comfortable throughout my visit.

If you’re feeling tired or simply love animals, I highly recommend this place. I’ll definitely be back!

Less Positive Reviews

We arrived 10 minutes before our reservation, and while I understand not being allowed inside early, waiting outside on a hot day was uncomfortable.

I’ve been to several pet cafés in Tokyo, and this was the first one where no drinks were included—you have to buy them from a vending machine.

The Samoyeds were adorable, but I was surprised by the lack of hospitality.

The dogs seemed tired and slept almost the entire time, so it wasn’t as enjoyable as I expected.

I wish they would take inspiration from the Samoyed cafés in Korea.

② Samoyed Cafe AL Machida Branch (⭐ 5.0)

Positive Reviews

I’d been wanting to visit Samoyed Cafe AL for so long, and I finally made it yesterday.

I was so happy to meet my favorite Samoyed, Sultan! 🥹

The staff were kind and welcoming. Thank you so much! I’ll definitely be back. 🥺

Everything was unbelievably cute! Even the instant photos and ID-style photo booth pictures turned out adorable!

Less Positive Reviews

Instead of letting guests freely interact with the dogs, the staff often stepped in and spent time with them.

The staff would come over while guests were interacting with the dogs.

Every time they did, the dogs would naturally go over to the staff instead.

I wish they had considered that guests are paying to spend time with the dogs.

I have more complaints, but I’ll stop here.

If you’ve never owned a dog, you might enjoy it.

But if you have experience raising dogs, you may want to think twice…

Paying around ¥3,000 for that experience…? Seriously. lol

③ Samoyed Cafe AL Tachikawa Branch (⭐ 5.0)

Positive Reviews

The Samoyeds were very friendly, and thanks to the staff’s support, I had plenty of chances to interact with them. 💕

I visited early in the day, so I got to see them happily running around and playing!

The group photo with all the Samoyeds turned out great, and I was very satisfied. 🥰

This is a wonderful place to spend time with large dogs.

Guests are admitted in hourly sessions.

If you make a reservation, you’ll be allowed in exactly at your scheduled time, so you’ll need to wait outside until then.

There’s also a scheduled group photo session with the dogs. You can take pictures of just the Samoyeds or join them in the photo yourself.

I visited in the afternoon, which seemed to be nap time—they all lay down and fell asleep almost immediately! 😂

④ Samoyed Cafe moffu Takeshita Street Branch (⭐ 4.9)

Positive Reviews

The dogs were absolutely adorable and lovable. As a huge dog lover, I had an amazing time.

All of the dogs were incredibly cute. Some were very energetic and eager to interact, while others were more laid-back.

Less Positive Reviews

Unfortunately, I can’t say it was a great experience.

It was my first visit, and I brought my girlfriend with me. The dogs weren’t very interested in people, and even after trying several times, we couldn’t get a good photo with them.

Of course, I understand that every dog has its own personality.

Still, I hope the staff can continue improving the environment and helping the dogs become more comfortable interacting with guests.

⑤ Samoyed Cafe AL Asakusa Branch (⭐ 4.9)

Positive Reviews

It was such a relaxing experience! Every Samoyed was absolutely adorable.

You could really tell that the staff and the dogs had a great bond. It felt like a wonderful place. 🦴

It was my first visit.

I arrived right when the café opened, and four friendly Samoyeds were happily running around right in front of us. It was an impressive sight.

Every Samoyed was friendly, and watching them during treat time was unbelievably cute.

Less Positive Reviews

Just as other reviewers mentioned, I found the staff to be rather intimidating. I felt uncomfortable from the moment I got off the elevator.

The staff always had treats in their pockets, so naturally the dogs stayed around them instead of approaching guests without treats. I ended up spending most of the 50-minute session simply watching the staff play with the Samoyeds.

Although the ¥2,200 admission fee was cheaper than most other Samoyed cafés, the session felt very long, and even my son said he wanted to leave early.

That said, seeing Samoyeds in person for the first time was still a wonderful experience.

The dogs loved running and playing together, but the floor looked slippery. Combined with the limited indoor space, I felt the environment might not be ideal for their joints.

Samoyed Cafe AL and moffu Are Actually Completely Different Cafés

Although both are popular Samoyed cafés, they are not part of the same company or chain.

There are several differences between them, so if you’re wondering which one is a better fit for you, be sure to check out our comparison of Samoyed Cafe AL vs. moffu.

⑥ Super Samoyed! Harajuku Branch (⭐ 4.9)

Positive Reviews

The staff were incredibly kind and took the time to introduce each dog, explaining their personalities and ages. It made the whole experience easy to understand and very welcoming.

The Samoyeds were adorable, friendly, and loved interacting with visitors. Spending time with them was so relaxing.

It was a wonderful experience, and I’d definitely love to come back.

Less Positive Reviews

This was my first visit in quite a while, and I noticed the admission fee had gone up without realizing it.

There were also a lot of new staff members and dogs I didn’t recognize. On previous visits, the staff would chat with solo visitors and even help take photos, but that level of customer service seemed to be gone.

I also noticed that dog waste had been left unattended in the restroom area, despite several staff members being around, which was disappointing.

I came hoping to see Omochi, but he was being groomed. When I politely asked if I could at least see him briefly, one staff member kindly let me peek into the backstage area. However, another staff member immediately closed the door, which left me feeling quite uncomfortable.

The dogs were still adorable, but I felt the overall quality of the staff had declined.

⑦ Samoyed Cafe AL Kami-Itabashi Branch (⭐ 4.9)

Positive Reviews

It was my first visit, and it truly felt like a fluffy paradise.

The dogs were energetic, so taking videos was actually easier than trying to capture the perfect photo—they moved around so much that it was hard to keep up! 😂

Thankfully, the staff helped guests find good photo opportunities and encouraged interactions with the dogs.

Every Samoyed was incredibly fluffy and absolutely adorable. 😊

Less Positive Reviews

It’s more of a place to watch the dogs than actively interact with them.

The dogs don’t naturally come over very often, so you’ll usually need to walk over and pet the ones that are lying down. If you buy treats, though, they’ll come running over immediately—it definitely feels like capitalism at work!

After reading other reviews, I can understand why. The dogs naturally gravitate toward the staff members who feed and care for them every day.

That said, I did feel there was a bit of an “inside jokes among the staff” atmosphere that guests couldn’t really be part of.

⑧ Samoyed Cafe AL Shibaura Branch (⭐ 4.9)

Positive Reviews

There were so many adorable Samoyeds, and spending time with them was incredibly relaxing. 🐶

The staff were friendly and courteous, which left a great impression.

I was told the dogs are most energetic first thing in the morning. Since I visited in the evening, many of them were already tired and taking naps.

The admission fee was also very reasonable, making it easy to visit without breaking the bank.

I’d definitely love to come back for another relaxing visit!

Less Positive Reviews

I wouldn’t recommend booking online.

Quite a few walk-in guests were able to enter without any issues.

Although I was told my one-hour session had already started, no one explained where to change my shoes. I had to ask if I could go in, and ended up waiting at reception for over five minutes—which apparently counted toward my session time.

The staff’s customer service wasn’t very good. I repeatedly asked about joining the dog walking experience, but only received vague answers and never got to participate.

I’d previously visited the Kamakura branch and had a wonderful experience there, so this location was quite disappointing by comparison.

⑨ fufu Samoyed Cafe Ikebukuro East Exit Branch (⭐ 4.8)

Positive Reviews

Even though it was a Sunday, I was able to make a same-day reservation.

The café was spotless, had a wonderful atmosphere, and was very comfortable to spend time in.

The dogs were friendly, and you could tell the staff genuinely cared for them.

They even held fun activities, like a game where guests guessed the dogs’ names, which made the visit even more enjoyable.

It turned into a fantastic day off, and I’d love to visit again!

Less Positive Reviews

I received a ¥300 discount coupon in front of Sunshine City, but was disappointed to learn it couldn’t be used with online reservations. If you don’t reserve in advance, admission starts at ¥4,000, so the discount didn’t feel very meaningful.

There wasn’t even a children’s admission price. Kids are only free if they’re under 70 cm tall—which basically means infants.

We had stopped by after visiting Chiikawa Park with our child. Considering this café costs even more than Chiikawa Park, the small, crowded room packed with people didn’t seem worth the price.

In the end, I apologized to my child and decided not to go in.
